The application itself involves writing and sending an ICly written record of the character applying to the Institute. You can use one of the records on our Argent Archives site as baseline, but other forms are fine too, as long as you convey the necessary information.
With such a record ready, you can set up an interview in game with one of the officers and sign a contract ICly to get you on board.
